  • How frequently can I use Welcome?

As many times as you’d like! There is no restriction on the number of times you and your family can visit our Museums.

  • I am visiting from out of town. Can I still use Welcome?

The Welcome program supports our community’s local families in North and South Carolina. All participants must show a valid state-issued ID from one of these states to redeem.

  • How many Museums can I visit with Welcome?

The Welcome program is accessible at all four Discovery Place museums: Discovery Place Science, Discovery Place Nature, Discovery Place Kids-Huntersville and Discovery Place Kids-Rockingham. Through Welcome, admission is $2 per person at each location.

  • Can I visit multiple Discovery Place museums in one day using Welcome?

If you choose to visit more than one Discovery Place museum in one day, you will need to pay Welcome admission at each location. • I lost my EBT or WIC card. Can I still redeem Welcome pricing?

Whether you purchased your tickets online in advance or upon your arrival at the Museum, we require guests to present either their EBT or WIC card at the Admissions Desk, along with a photo ID. If you do not have your card/voucher or ID with you when you arrive, you will not be able to receive Welcome ticket pricing.

  • If my child qualifies for Medicaid, do we qualify for Welcome pricing?

Welcome benefits are only available for North Carolina and South Carolina families who receive Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) or Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) food and nutrition benefits.

  • I have a coupon not on this list. Is it legitimate?

Throughout the year, Discovery Place will partner with local organizations for special, seasonal or limited-time discounts.
